Worked as Legal Assistant with Pure Ice cream Co. Ltd. - handled all major drafting assignments and company's IP work.

1980- 2004 - Worked with a premier Central Government of India Undertaking - the National Textile Corporation (Maharashtra North) as Head Legal Department.

2004 - Took voluntary retirement from the National Textile Corporation to head Kachwaha & Partners' Mumbai office.

Ms. Kakar had a long stint - 24 years - with the National Textile Corporation. The Corporation has 18 textile Mills in Mumbai and Western India region. As Head of Legal Department, she oversaw a portfolio of about 2000 legal matters covering a wide span of corporate, labour, employment, commercial, debt recovery, property, tenancy, contracts, banking and other civil matters. In addition She has conducted several internal enquiries/ disciplinary proceedings. She also headed an in-house committee constituted by the Corporation to inquire into cases of sexual harassment at workplace.
